Film: THE LEAP

Synopsis:

Feature film “The Leap” is the story about an astonishing life and sport comeback of basketball player Natasa Kovacevic, and her mission to motivate people with similar destiny like hers, to stay positive and find way to win again on the court. This movie is dedicated to ones who helped her to keep her smile after traffic accident in Hungary, 7th September 2013, when she lost her leg. To everyone who believed in her strength and dreams that she could play and, even more, win titles again. And it happened...

Story fallows Natasa`s comeback in real time, her preparations and dedication to jump again on the court and score the triples again (her favourite shot). As one of the biggest European talents in last ten years, she was under pressure to keep that picture in the eyes of her fans. Thanks to French Basketball Federation (FFBB) he got special prosthetic leg made in French Ministry of Defence. After first practice she realized her basketball comeback is possible. And she managed it...

In late 2015, just two years after the car accident, she played first game in her “new life”. Soon, she lifted the trophy of Serbian Cup with KKZ Red Star, becoming first ever player on the planet who played and won the title with a prosthetic leg.

Filming took place in six countries: Serbia (Belgrade, Vrsac), France (Paris, Nice), Italy (Milan, Monza), San Marino, Germany (Munich) and Hungary (Gyor, Budapest). Starting in mid 2015, the ending was planned for late 2017.
